About

I am a French writer/director and editor living in rural Connecticut, not too far from NYC, but far enough that I can stumble on a black bear when taking the trash out.

Down With the King, my second feature film, starring rapper Freddie Gibbs, premiered at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival (ACID section), won the top prize at the Deauville Film Festival, and was released worldwide by Sony Pictures in 2022. New York Times critic’s AO Scott named the film one of the top ten best films of 2022 and named Gibbs’ performance as one of the top ten performance that year in the NY Times Magazine.

Bob and the Trees, my first feature film, had its world premiere at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, won the top prize at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in Czech Republic and screened in more than 20 international festivals throughout the world. I was short-listed for the Someone to Watch Award at the 2016 and 2022 Independent Spirit Awards for both feature films.

Prior to that, I directed more than a hundred children’s program for French Television in my early 20’s then wrote and directed four acclaimed short films: Me My Bag and my Ball, Return to Labradoria, Rice and Meat and Bob and the Trees (the short that inspired the feature bearing the same name).
